Program Structure

A Hybrid of Live Support and Self-Paced Lessons - we move through the three pillars of an intentional movement practice. Each pillar receives two weeks of focus.

A 30-minute guided breathwork + gentle movement session to help you reconnect to your body, soften your nervous system, and return to your inner well of clarity and calm.

Weeks 1 and 2 focus on embodiment, the pillar that is often the most unfamiliar yet the most foundational in Pilates. Here, you’ll learn the why behind the work as you reconnect to your breath, anchor your nervous system, and start feeling the subtle internal cues that make movement intelligent and effective. By slowing down and understanding the foundations with clarity, you build the kind of awareness that strengthens every other part of your practice and your life.

Weeks 1 & 2: Embodiment

In Weeks 3 and 4, we move into empowerment, where strength is built from the inside out and supported by the energy of community. You will develop deep core stability, strengthen through healthy spinal alignment, and learn to use your breath as a source of power and clarity. Practicing together helps you stay consistent, accountable, and connected, while beginning to build the confidence and inner authority that shape how you move both on and off the mat.

Weeks 3 & 4: Empowerment

In Weeks 5 and 6, we expand the work by taking your Pilates foundation into the rhythms of your everyday life. You’ll explore how breath, spinal alignment, and inner support move with you outside the studio, on walks, in nature, or in any activity where your body leads the way. This pillar helps you connect your practice to something larger than the exercises themselves, creating a sense of flow, clarity, and integration that lives well beyond the mat.

Why I Created this Program

A Personal Note From Kelsey

I found Pilates during one of the hardest seasons of my life.

My body was carrying more than it knew how to hold, and I was disconnected in a way I could not talk or think my way out of. Pilates gave me something I didn’t expect: the tools to strengthen myself from the inside out.

It helped me find presence when my mind was spiraling.
It helped me use my breath to reconnect with my body and my felt experience.
It helped me move stagnant energy in a safe and effective way.
It helped me understand how important my spine and center were to my overall well-being, not just my posture.

Learning how to organize through my spine and come back to my core and to my breath became a lifeline. A way to feel steadier, calmer, and more capable in my daily life.

Pilates was the initiator of my healing long before I understood that’s what was actually happening.

And over the years, as I kept practicing, studying, and teaching, I realized something important: the Pilates that helped me reconnect to myself is not the Pilates most people are experiencing today.

In so many modern, aesthetic-focused classes, the very things that make Pilates transformative: the breath, the spine, the inner awareness, the connection to center, are barely addressed. People are being asked to perform movements without being taught the foundations that make those movements meaningful, sustainable, or safe.

Return to the Core brings these pieces back.

This program re-centers the principles that changed my life: breath, spinal alignment, deep core awareness, and intentional movement. Not just to help you strengthen your Pilates practice, but to help you strengthen your life.

When you understand your breath, you regulate your nervous system.

I’m Kelsey Wiedenhoefer, creator of KW Well. With over 15 years of experience in the fitness and wellness space, I guide movement through breath-led Pilates, somatic awareness, and grounded presence. My work blends physical intelligence with energetic clarity, helping you return to your body as a place of truth, stability and strength.
